PUBLIC NOTICE – NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Washington Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Monday September 12th 2022 at 6:30 p.m., at 57900 Van Dyke, Washington Township Michigan 48094 in the Board Room at the Washington Township Municipal Building. The purpose of this meeting is to consider an appeal by:

By reason of:

Washington Township Zoning Ordinance, Article 5.0 Site Standards, Section 5.8 Pathways, sidewalks and walkways, A. Applicability, 3. Required Roads, a. A pathway or sidewalk shall be constructed in the following instances: (1.) As a condition for the issuance of a building permit for all new residential dwellings and B. General Material Requirements, 1. Pathways, a. Required Roads. An 8ft wide concrete pathway shall be required across the frontage of all properties abutting designated, “Required Roads”.

Purpose of request:

To request a variance, which if granted would allow the applicant to not have to construct an 8ft concrete pathway across the frontage at 60275 Schoenherr Road which is designated in our ordinance as a Required Road for the installation of pathways.

Address: 60275 Schoenherr Road

Location: West side of Schoenherr Road, North of 27 Mile Road.

All property owners within 300 feet are being notified. The public may participate in the meeting by attending in person or sending a representative to attend for them.
