A regular meeting of the Charter Township of Oakland Board of Trustees was called to order on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 7:02 PM in the Township Hall, 4393 Collins Rd, Rochester, MI.
PRESENT: Robin Buxar, Clerk; John Giannangeli, Treasurer; Jack Elder, Trustee; Dave Mabry, Trustee; Lana Mangiapane, Trustee; Andy Zale, Trustee
ABSENT: Dominic Abbate, Supervisor
THE FOLLOWING MOTIONS WERE MADE AND PASSED:
1. To appoint the clerk to serve as president pro tem for this evening’s meeting.
2. To approve the agenda as amended.
3. To approve the Consent Agenda as read.
4. To approve Resolution #22-15 Amended Water Supply Recovery Rates Southeast Water District. A fixed charge of $ 50.00 for usage up to 1,500 cubic feet per quarter per MEU. A cost recovery rate for water customers will be $14.00 per Mcf for usage over 1,500 cubic feet per quarter. These rates will be effective for use on August 1, 2022, for all users of the Charter Township of Oakland Southeast Water System.
5. To approve the successor Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Charter Township of Oakland and the International Association of Fire Fighters, Local 4918, effective April 1, 2022, through March 31, 2026, and authorize the Township Manager to execute the CBA and related supplemental documents and the Clerk to file the same.
6. To approve and adopt the 2022 Millage tax rates as noted in the table from the September 13, 2022 memo presented to the Board of Trustees entitled 2022 Millage Rates.
7. To approve the budget amendments #1 – #10 from the Budget Amendment Memo dated 09/13/2022. The net result of these amendments is a $55,800 decrease to the Township General Fund balance.
8. To schedule special budget workshop meetings for 10/17/22, 10/24/22 & 10/27/22 at 3:00 pm and plan accordingly with departments.
9. To adjourn the meeting at 8:50 PM.
