PUBLIC NOTICE – VILLAGE OF ARMADA – SYNOPSIS OF UNOFFICIAL MINUTES FOR RCM 11/14/22

Pres. Wolak called meeting to order at 7:02 PM. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Council members present at roll call: Clark, Coenen, Ballard, Shall, Wolak, Sledz, and Boelke. Also present: Clerk Poulos, Treasurer Adair, Jeffrey Bahorski, Kevin Grand, Anne Porter, Stacy Sobotka, Curtis McBride, Sam Boelke, Patti LeMieux, Julie LeFever, and Richard Maierle.

COUNCIL ACTION: Unanimously Approved Agenda as amended: Removed New Business Item #E-Installation of Exhaust Fan, Intake Louvers and Timer in Well House #6. Heard and/or Received: Code Enforcement and Police Action Report (which Ballard read aloud) for October, 2022; the Planning Commission Meeting Minutes of 10-3-22. Verbal reports from Water Commissioner Boelke, Street Administrator Sledz, and Planning Commission Liaison Shall, and Clerk Poulos presented the Purple Heart Community Signs. Approved the Consent Agenda as presented: RCM Minutes of 10/24/22 approved as presented; Payment of Bills totaling $212,917.66 as presented; to close the Village Office on Wednesday, November 23, 2022; to approve the application from the Armada Agricultural Society for a Special Event Permit on December 3, 2022, for the Lighted Christmas Parade. Heard a verbal report from Sewer Commissioner Clark. Unanimously approved: to approve the attached resolution recognizing the Armada Area Historical Society as a non-profit organization operating in the community; to comply with the President’s recommendation to appoint Al Padyjasek to the Planning Commission to a term ending December 31, 2024 subject to the appointee meeting the qualifications set forth in Chapter II of the General Law Village Act; to approve the sale of a LB75.B New Holland Backhoe, including two (2) buckets through advertisement and bid solicitation on an on-line auction site with a starting bid of $20,000.00 and to authorize the DPW Superintendent to accept the highest qualified bid received; to approve the Macomb Orchard Trail (MOT) Connection Temporary Construction Easement Agreement with Macomb County and to allow the Council President and Clerk to sign on behalf of the Village. Unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:12 p.m. A Complete text of minutes is available for public inspection at the Clerk’s office during regular business hours.
