Margaret Louise Olson, 91, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023. She was born July 19, 1931, in Highland Park, the daughter of James Reid and Louise Ellen (Benham) Henderson.
She graduated from Oakland University with a bachelor’s degree in human resources and retired from St. Joseph Hospital in Mount Clemens. Margaret was a member of the American Youth Hostels and enjoyed biking, hiking and canoeing. She was a member of St. Luke Episcopal Church in Utica where she sang in the choir. Margaret also was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader.
Surviving are daughter, Louise M. Olson-Edwards; husband, Don Edwards; son, Robert Olson; grandchildren, Ian Edwards, Erin Edwards, Shane Olson, Dylan Olson, Steven (Kasie) Olson and Candace (Caleb) Burrus; great-grandson, Hudson Olson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, James Albert Olson.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22 at Christian Memorial Gardens, 521 East Hamlin Road, Rochester Hills.
