Edward R. Vojtush, Sr., 87, of Ray Township, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023 at his home surrounded by his beloved children. He was born Dec. 26, 1935, the son of John George and Katherine (Smihula) Vojtush, in Detroit. Edward married his beloved wife, Stella Jean Page on March 2, 1957.
(who would of celebrated their 66 years of marriage a month later.)
He graduated from St. Martin High School in 1953. He then attended University of Detroit Mercy where he received his associates degree in business administration.
He worked at Chrysler Corporation as an automotive executive for 42 years. He was probation officer in Madison Heights for many years. Edward enjoyed spending time with his family at his lake house near Hillsdale. He also was a Boy Scout Leader for his son’s troop. Edward loved his family and shall be missed.
He is survived by his loving children, Edward Vojtush, Jr., Joseph Vojtush, Michael Vojtush, Gerald Vojtush and Judith (George) Haynes; beloved grandchildren, Vanessa Vojtush, Trevor (Tori) Schick, Jacob Schick, Melissa (Dan) Snyder, Brian Haynes, Sara Haynes and Joe Haynes; great-grandchildren, Kiera, Brianna, Leah, Landon, Elliana, Arriana, Triston, Malia and Brody.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Stella on Feb. 1; son, Jeffrey; and siblings, John, Joseph, Stephen, Mary Hamilla, Dorothy Biersbach and Irene Dube.
All services will be private.
