Margaret J. Anger, 89, a resident of Romeo since 1954, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. She was born Jan. 16, 1934, in St Clair Shores, the daughter of Roland P. and Lillian (St. Pierre) Faubert. After graduating from Lakeview High School in 1951, she met and married Robert Duane Anger on May 31, 1954 at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church in St Clair Shores, and together they spent 66 years raising their family and living in the Romeo area till his death on May 15, 2020.

Along with her family, they were longtime members of St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo where they were active for many years and enjoyed saying the Rosary whenever she could. Her hobbies included playing bingo, reading, traveling, cooking & baking, but most of all spending time with her children and many grandchildren & great grandchildren. She loved just being home & watching television.

Margaret is survived by her children, Annette (Bob) Johnson of Washington Township, Laurie (Keith) Lewis of Armada, Bobby (Sandi) Anger of Romeo, Renee (Tom) Rumph of Armada, Julie (Marty) DePoorter of Allenton, Edward (Mary) Anger of Anchorage, Alaska, Karen (Kevin) Longley of Oxford and Greta (Jeff) Morton of Romeo; Grandchildren, Rachel (Jack) Simon, Kimberly Michelsen, Andrew (Ashley Berdych) Lewis, Katie (Kyle) Rotarius, Philip (Chelsea) Lewis, Kelly (Tony) Vienneau, Lindsay (Dan) Koss, Kyle Rumph, Stephanie (Richard) Huddell, Carl Gaff, Cody DePoorter, Olivia Garrett, Skylar (Zan) Butler, McCall Anger, Jacob Longley, Hannah Longley, Nicholas (Kathryn) Anger, Bradley Anger, Curtis Morton, Rae Morton and Ella Morton; great-grandchildren, Lillian, Vivian, Kate, Colton, Ada, Keagan, Graham, Wesley, Addison and Ainsley; sister, Greta Engleman; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on 3-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 12 with a 7 p.m. Rosary at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo.

Mass of Resurrection will take place 10 a.m., Thursday, April 13 at St. Clement Catholic Church of Romeo with a luncheon to follow.

Burial to follow at the Romeo Cemetery at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 13.
