THE QUESTIONS: This 1868 Bird’s Eye View shows the north end of the north west quarter block of the business district of Romeo. When the village was surveyed the village was divided into 4 sections separated by Main and St. Clair Streets. Each quarter section was divided into two parts with an alley. The south west quarter had the alley filled with a building. This is now the dentist building. This new series will discuss the physical characteristics of the buildings in each location of the business district. In some cases there were up to four different buildings in one location. The arrow shows a house at the north end of the north west quarter. What happened to it?
