Notice is hereby given that the Bruce Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, beginning at 6:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows, at the Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, MI 48065.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on a request for special land use approval submitted by Bible Truth Apostolic Church. The applicant proposes to construct a church on a vacant parcel on Van Dyke/M-53 (parcel ID 14-01-14-300-010) in the R1 Single Family Residential district. The parcel in question is approximately 20.15 acres. A place of worship is a special land use in the R1 district.
A complete copy of the application for special land use approval may be examined at Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, MI 48065, prior to the public hearing, during the Township’s regular business hours, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM through 4:30 PM. Written comments may be addressed to the Planning Commission at the Township Hall address. Oral comments will be taken during the hearing on January 7, 2026.
