PUBLIC NOTICE – ARMADA TOWNSHIP JANUARY 14, 2026 BOARD OF TRUSTEES REGULAR MEETING SYNOPSIS

Supervisor Krotche called meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Present: Nikkel, Goetzinger, Swiacki, Job, Krotche

Also present: Attorney Linda McGrail

Held two public hearings for Special Events Ordinance and Animal Control Ordinance.

The following motions were made and passed: To approve agenda as presented. To approve list of bills. To receive and file departmental reports. To approve minutes: 1.14.26 and 1.29.26. Special Events and Animal Control Ordinances were both postponed. Approved Variance from Armada Township Engineering and Construction Standards Ordinance for 22920 Armada Center Road. One year insurance renewal with Decker Agency. Fire and general fund budget amendments. Set Truth In Budgeting public hearing for March 11. Adopted poverty exemption guidelines. Appointed to PDR Committee, DJ Kehrig. Planning Commission – appointed Randy Finlay, Kathleen Jarolawski and Beth Abercrombie. Zoning Board of Appeals – appointed DJ Kehrig and Anthony Locano. Denied Special Land Use for 80779 Capac Road. Approved Waste Collection and Disposal Contract with Priority Waste, LLC for a five year period. Drain Match with Macomb County Public works for Newland Drain and Branches. Cancelled March 16 meeting. Adopted Principals of Governance. Approved revision of Armada Township Planning and Zoning Fee Schedule. Approved to partner with the DIA for a mural project.
