The Charter Township of Oakland Parks and Recreation Commission will hold a public hearing to receive public comments on Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund grant application TF26-0004 for the addition of access improvements at Marsh View Park in Section 7 of Oakland Township. This 96-acre park is located on the west side of Adams Road, between Clarkston Road and Stony Creek Road.
The proposed access improvements include accessible limestone trails connecting to Bald Mountain Recreation Area North Unit, a Stony Creek Road parking lot, and trailhead facilities including restrooms, wayfinding signage, and interpretive signage.
The Public Hearing will be held Wednesday March 11, 2026 at 7:00 pm at the Oakland Township Hall, 4393 Collins Road, Rochester, Michigan, 48306.
Copies of the draft grant application will be available for public inspection beginning March 9, 2026 on the Parks and Recreation home page of the Oakland Township website at
https://oaklandtwpmi.gov/parks-recreation/grants-plans .
Hard copies will be available for review at 10am March 10, 2026 at the Parks and Recreation Offices at the Paint Creek Cider Mill, 4480 Orion Road, Rochester, MI 48306 and at the Oakland Township Hall, 4393 Collins Road, Rochester, MI 48306.
Written comments can be emailed to parksplanning@oaklandtwp.mi.gov, mailed to “OT Parks 2026 Marsh View Park Improvements”, 4393 Collins Road, Rochester, MI 48306, or placed in the drive-up drop box located at the Oakland Township Hall, 4393 Collins Road, Rochester, MI 48306, until March 18, 2026.
