PUBLIC NOTICE – NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING RICHMOND TOWNSHIP

Notice is hereby given that there will be a public hearing before the Richmond Township Zoning Board of Appeals on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the Richmond Township Hall located at 34900 School Section, Richmond, Michigan 48062 beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The purpose of the Public Hearing is to hear and receive comments relating to the requested variance to the following Richmond Township Zoning Ordinance Section:

Section 7.00 – Residential Districts

Item A – #5 No accessory building shall be erected before the enclosure of the main building.

The applicant currently has an accessory building that is located on his property – 29988 Armada Ridge Road, he has proposed to transfer 2.687 acres with a barn, on to a vacant parcel – #22-03-29-400-018. The applicant has requested a variance because the proposed land division would leave an accessory building on a parcel without a principal use.

Copies of the entire application and all related documents area available for viewing at the Township Offices during regular business hours (Monday and Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Written comments concerning the request will be received at the Township Offices during regular business hours up to and including the day of the meeting.
