Held public hearing for Truth In Budgeting.
The following motions were made and passed: To approve agenda as amended. To approve list of bills. To receive and file departmental reports. To approve minutes: 2.11.26 and 2.23.26. Adopted Animal Control Ordinance No. 2026-04. FY25/26 budget amendments for Fire and General Funds. Set township operating millage at .7235, fire special assessment at 3.25, Fire Advanced Life Support 2.25. Adopted Fire and General Fund FY26/27 Budgets; Resolution No. 2026-05 Township Board Wages FY26/27; Resolution No. 2026-08 Municipal employee stipends, Resolution No. 2026-07 a 2.8% wage increase for municipal employees. Fire Dept. Administrator Salary. Building Department: inspectors compensation structure. Extended Good & Clean contract through January 14, 2029. Carpet for hall. Accepted building inspector Mel McNutt’s resignation. Appointed Kyle Kallek as new building inspector. Land Lease by Fogler Farms, LLC for fire department property at $120 per acre. Closed Session was held to discuss Collective Bargainig Agreement for full time firefighters/paramedics. Action vote in open session approved Agreement between the Township of Armada and Armada Township Firefighters/Paramedics Internation Assn. of Firefighters Local 5053, AFL-CIO for April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2029. Approved Defined Benefit Plan Adoption Agreement Amendment for MERS 55/25 Early Retirement Rider for Local 5053.
