Notice is hereby given that the Bruce Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, beginning at 6:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows, at the Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, MI 48065.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on amendments to Section 161-3.1.16.C and 161-3.1.17.B of the Zoning Ordinance, which regulate uses in the LI-1 Light Industrial and IRO Industrial Research Office districts, respectively. The amendment removes “data processing and computer centers” from the list of principally permitted uses in the IRO district and moves it to the list of special land uses in the LI-1 district.
A complete copy of the amendments may be examined at Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, MI 48065, prior to the public hearing, during the Township’s regular business hours, Monday through Wednesday, 7:30 AM through 4:30 PM and Thursday, 8:30 AM through 4:30 PM. Written comments may be addressed to the Planning Commission at the Township Hall address. Oral comments will be taken during the hearing on May 6, 2026.
