Notice is hereby given that there will be a public hearing before the Richmond Township Zoning Board of Appeals on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at the Richmond Township Hall located at 34900 School Section, Richmond, Michigan 48062 beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The purpose of the Public Hearing is to hear and receive comments relating to the requested variance to the following Richmond Township Zoning Ordinance Section:
Section 11.09 (E) (2) (c) of the Richmond Township Zoning Ordinance provides that no more than 20% of the total sign area may consist of changeable copy. The ordinance allows up to 50% changeable copy, but only for churches, schools, and public buildings.
The applicants proposed sign modification has a digital display of 27.9%. The proposed sign modification does not meet the requirements of the Richmond Township Zoning Ordinance.
