Catherine C. (Schepke) Barg, 92, formerly of Washington Township, passed away Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, at home surrounded by her family.  She was born Feb. 27, 1928 in Detroit to Herman and Catherine ( Beyer) Schepke.  She married Wylie Kyle Jennings on Aug. 27, 1949. Kyle Jennings passed away on Aug. 27, 1955 widowing Catherine and their three children. Catherine married Milton Barg on March 25, 1958.

She moved to Washington Township after marrying Milton Barg where they lived for the next 48 years and where they raised their four children. Catherine worked many years as a secretary. She was an active member of the Washington Methodist church where she played piano for the Sunday service and also worked in the office.  She was active member of the Women’s Guild and could be found in the kitchen for many luncheons and dinners. She was also active in making lap quilts for the community senior centers. Catherine loved to play the piano, playing poker with her family, crossword puzzles and Bingo. She was an active, loving person who extended herself to many people in the community.

She is survived by her children, Dennis and Nancy (Whiting ) Jennings of Leonard, Barbara (Jennings) and David  Chubb of Shelby Township, Karen Jennings of Attica and David and Tracey (Eichenlaub) Barg of Shelby Township; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jennings) and James Norris, Kyle and April Jennings, Timothy and Sarah Jennings, Bryan and Melanie Chubb, Mark and Kim Chubb, Kathryn (Chubb) and Colin Barrett, Michael and Renae Kamin, Nicholas and Jennie Kamin, Matthew and Jordan Barg and Emily Barg; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kyle Jennings on Aug. 27, 1955 and her second husband, Milton Barg in 2006.

No memorial service has been planned at this time.
