Ronald Steffens, 85, of Bruce Township. passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Troy Beaumont Hospital. He was born May 28, 1936 in Mount Clemens, the only son of Wilma and Arnold Steffens. On June 28, 1958, he married the love of his life, Nadine (Garbe), at St. John’s Lutheran Church on June 28, 1958.
He was a proud graduate of Michigan State University and worked for 30 years at General Motors in finance. Ronald enjoyed traveling, camping and golf as well as reading, hunting and woodworking—or just spending time in the outdoors. Ron grew up in Fraser.
He is survived by his wife, Nadine; children, Kathy (Steve Wallace) Day of Arlington Heights, Ill., Richard (Susan) Steffens of Oconomowoc, Wisc. and Brian (Michelle) Steffens of Macomb Township; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also a beloved Uncle and friend to so many.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 23 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Washington Township. Arrangements were made by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo.
