Janice Marie Lester-Fouchey, 60, of Romeo, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights. She was born July 16, 1961 in Lapeer, the daughter of Robert and Bettie (Murphy.)
Janice was employed at Utica Community Schools as a teacher for many years and she was also a wonderful author with three published books. She was an avid seamstress, loved to craft and sang with a wonderful voice. Janice was extremely kind, caring and known for sending sweet notes in the mail.
She is survived by the love of her life and partner of 17 years, John Bohay; mother, Bettie Murphy-Lester of Romeo; father, Robert (Carol) Lester of Algonac; brother, Robert (Debbie) Lester of Mount Clemens; and special friends Chris and Mike Farrug, Lydia and Mike Lupenec.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Sheila Anne Lester of Romeo; brother, Edward C. Lester of Romeo; former husband, Chad Fouchey; and great-grandmother, Elise VerHelle of Romeo.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, Aug 5, with a luncheon immediately following at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church in Romeo.
Burial will be held at the Romeo Cemetery following the luncheon.
