PUBLIC NOTICE – CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON SPECIAL LAND USE REQUEST PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Charter Township of Washington Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday December 14th, 2023, in the Board Room of the Washington Township Municipal Building located at 57900 Van Dyke, Washington, MI 48094, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The purpose of this Public Hearing is to hear and receive comments related to, “Washington Village Apartments”, a mixed-use development that includes First Floor Retail and 78 Senior Multi-Family Housing Units on the Second and Third Floor, submitted by Tony Gallo with Gallo Companies located at 6303 26 Mile Road on the 2nd Floor in Washington Township Michigan, 48094. The applicant seeks consideration on the following special land use requests as outlined in the Washington Township Zoning Ordinance: Article 3.0 Zoning Districts, Section 3.1.12 V-1 Village Center, C. Special Land Uses, 5. Residential Uses located above a nonresidential use, building or structure, 6. Village Multiple Family (Section 3.29) and 8. Three-story buildings not to exceed forty (40) feet.

If you are unable to attend the public hearing, you can mail your comments in advance or drop them off at the Planning and Zoning Department inside the Washington Township Municipal Building prior to the date of the meeting.
