A regular meeting of the Charter Township of Oakland Board of Trustees was called to order on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 7:00 PM in the Township Hall, 4393 Collins Rd, Rochester, MI.
PRESENT: Robin Buxar, Supervisor; Dave Mabry, Clerk; John Giannangeli, Treasurer; Jack Elder, Trustee; Jeanne Langlois, Trustee; Lana Mangiapane, Trustee; Andy Zale, Trustee
ABSENT: None
THE FOLLOWING MOTIONS WERE MADE AND PASSED:
1. To approve the agenda as presented.
2. To approve the Consent Agenda as read.
3. To approve the resolution to grant local approval for the Class C Liquor License for Silver Shamrocks LLC for the premises located at 4497 Collins Rd, Oakland Township, MI conditioned upon an acceptable, reasonable restrictions of the license transfer and will provide for shuttle service for any off-site parking and the contract will be brought back to the Board for final approval.
4. To deny the request to extend the concession agreement from Red Jacks Cider Mill dba Paint Creek Cider Mill, however, conditioned upon the outstanding monthly payments for January and February being paid by the close of business on February 1, 2024 to grant the concessionaire a limited extension for the purposes of closing operations and to orderly vacate the property on or before February 29, 2024. Failure to make the timely payment of the amounts specified herein, shall result in immediate termination of the agreement and ordered to vacate the property by the end of business on February 1, 2024.
5. To accept the proposal no. 21558PR-C for the Township to enter into a contract with the PEA group for additional homeowner meetings for the Safety Path and Trails Committee’s path along Snell with a not-to-exceed estimate of $5,000.
6. To approve the Board of Review, pursuant of MCL 211.30, to meet for a one-hour organizational meeting on the first Tuesday in March. Then the Board of Review shall meet on the second Monday in March starting no earlier than 9:00 am and no later than 3:00 pm for not less than 6 hours. The Board of Review shall meet no less than 6 hours for the remainder of the week with at least three hours after 6:00 pm.
7. To approve budget amendments #24- 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 & 06 from the Budget Amendment Memo dated 01/16/2024.
8. To adjourn the meeting at 8:28 PM.
