PUBLIC NOTICE – RAY TOWNSHIP NOTICE OF PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2024

To the Qualified Electors: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY will be held at Ray Township, County of Macomb, State of Michigan on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at the places of holding the Election in said township as indicated below.

RAY TOWNSHIP ELECTION DAY PRECINCT 1 AND PRECINCT 2: at Ray Township Hall, 64255 Wolcott Road, Ray, MI 48096

RAY TOWNSHIP JOINT EARLY VOTING SITE FOR PRECINCT 1 AND 2: Located at Charter Township of Washington Activity Center, located at 57880 Van Dyke Rd., Washington Township, MI 48094. DATES AND TIMES FOR EARLY VOTING ONLY: Saturday, February 17, 2024 through Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.

All precincts are handicap accessible. Voting instructions are available in alternative formats. Contact your Clerk’s office for details. Please note that you will be asked to show ID when you check in. If you don’t have one, you can still vote but will need to sign an affidavit of identity form if you do not have picture identification with you.

Accepted forms of identification: Michigan driver’s license or state ID, driver’s license or personal identification card issued by another state, federal or state government-issued photo identification, U.S. passport, Military ID with photo, student identification with photo from a high school or accredited institution of higher learning, Tribal identification card with photo.

ELECTION DAY: THE POLLS of said election will be open at 7:00 a.m. and will remain open until 8:00 p.m. of said day of election.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that you will be voting on nominating candidates for the office of the President of the United States and proposals listed below:

Romeo Community Schools: Building and Site Sinking Fund Millage Renewal Proposal and Operating Millage Renewal Proposal. Full text of the ballot proposal may be obtained at the Ray Township Clerk’s Office, 64255 Wolcott Road, Ray, MI 48096 and the Romeo Community Schools ballot proposition may be obtained at www.romeok12.org or click on School Election Information. Ballot proposal Romeo Community Schools, 316 N. Main, Romeo, MI 48065. A sample ballot may be viewed at mi.gov/vote.

Please note Ray Township Clerks Office will be open Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to process absentee ballot requests. Friday, February 23, 2024 is the last day an absent voter ballot can be mailed via First Class mail. On Monday, February 26, 2024 absentee ballots must be voted in person at the Clerk’s office up until 4:00 p.m.
