Notice is hereby given that there will be a public hearing before the Ray Township Planning Commission on March 12, 2024 at the Ray Township Offices, located at 64255 Wolcott Road, Ray, Michigan, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The purpose of the public hearing is to hear comments relating to the proposed amendments of the Ray Township Zoning Ordinance, being ordinance No. 36. The proposed amendments are as follows:
1. Changes to Section 2300, D-4, Site Condominiums – clarifying the submittal of required maintenance agreements and covenants.
2. Changes to Section 2400, C-5, Open Space Communities – adding the required submittal of maintenance agreements and covenants.
3. Eliminating Section 200, B – Accessory buildings in Residential Districts which requires Special Land Use approval for the location of accessory buildings in front of a home.
4. Changes to Section 2500, D-5 – Private Roads – to reference the 2018 International Fire Code and increase the minimum cul-de-sac turning radius.
Copies of the entire text for the proposed amendments are available at the Township Hall, Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., on the Township website at www.Raytwp.org and will be available at the public hearing. All interested citizens will be given an opportunity to comment on the ordinance. Written comments may be submitted up to the meeting time.
