A regular meeting of the Charter Township of Oakland Board of Trustees was called to order on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 7:00 PM in the Township Hall, 4393 Collins Rd, Rochester, MI.
PRESENT: Robin Buxar, Supervisor; Dave Mabry, Clerk; John Giannangeli, Treasurer; Jack Elder, Trustee; Jeanne Langlois, Trustee; Lana Mangiapane, Trustee; Andy Zale, Trustee
ABSENT: None
THE FOLLOWING MOTIONS WERE MADE AND PASSED:
1. To approve the agenda as amended.
2. To approve the Consent Agenda as read.
3. To approve the Agreement with Silver Shamrocks Regarding Issuance or Transfer of Class C Liquor License with any minor changes including a provision to allow the Township to specify when off-site parking and shuttle service will be required and any other minor changes subject to review by the Township attorney and final approval and execution by the Township Supervisor.
4. To approve the Resolution 24-01 to oppose the proposed “Water Affordability” Legislation and authorize the Township Clerk to execute the same.
5. To proceed with issuing an RFP for Planning Services as outlined in the Board packet for this meeting.
6. To approve the entrance of Oakland Township into the 2024 gravel haul program and proceeding with the roads as stated.
7. To participate in the Tri-party Program this year.
8. To approve the purchase of the recommended Sheriff’s office drone unit with a cost of $13,002.00 and transfer the technical ownership to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department.
9. To amend account 207-901-980.00 Equipment Purchase increase that account by $13,000.00 for 2024 with corresponding general fund decrease.
10. To approve Robin Buxar, Jane DiSessa and Joseph Merucci as final candidates for consideration for Township Manager selection and recruitment process.
11. To set March 7, 2024 as the meeting date to conduct public interviews for candidates for the Township Manager position beginning at 5:00 pm and immediately following will be a public meet and greet.
12. To adjourn the meeting at 9:10 PM.
