PUBLIC NOTICE – CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Washington Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Monday May 6th, 2024 in the Board Room of the Washington Township Municipal Building located at 57900 Van Dyke, Washington Township Michigan 48094, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to consider an appeal by:

By reason of:

Washington Township Zoning Ordinance, Article 3.0 Zoning Districts, Section 3.24 General Exceptions, D. Porches/Terraces, at-grade patios, steps/stairs and decks, 1. At-grade patios may be constructed within required front, side and rear yard setbacks. Unenclosed and uncovered access porches (i.e., one which is not roofed over) or paved terraces may project into a required front yard setback for a distance not exceeding four (4) feet.

Purpose of request:

To request a variance, which if granted would allow the applicant to install stairs and an elevated walkway within the side yard of the home for the purpose of connecting to a rear yard elevated deck.
