A special meeting of the Charter Township of Oakland Board of Trustees was called to order on Tuesday, April 18, 2024 at 5:17 PM in the Township Hall, 4393 Collins Rd, Rochester, MI.
PRESENT: Robin Buxar, Supervisor; Dave Mabry, Clerk; John Giannangeli, Treasurer; Jack Elder, Trustee; Jeanne Langlois, Trustee; Lana Mangiapane, Trustee; Andy Zale, Trustee
ABSENT: None
THE FOLLOWING MOTIONS WERE MADE AND PASSED:
1. To approve the agenda as presented.
2. To approve the Board of Trustee Resolution to appoint Township Manager and approve the Employment Agreement. Whereas the Township Ordinance 97 provides for appointment of a Township Superintendent, pursuant to MCL 42.10, which acts under the classification title of Township Manager; and Whereas following a comprehensive selection process the Board of Trustees selected Joseph Merucci (“Employee”) to serve as the Oakland Township Manager; and Whereas the employee and the Township have mutually agreed to the terms and conditions of an Employment Contract (“Agreement”) attached hereto as Exhibit A; and Now therefore, be it hereby resolved, pursuant to MCL 42.10, the Charter Township of Oakland Board of Trustees does hereby appoint Joseph Merucci to the Township Manager position, pursuant to the terms and conditions of the attached Agreement (Exhibit A). Now therefore, be it further resolved, that a Township Officer is hereby authorized to execute the attached Employment Agreement between the Township Manager and the Charter Township of Oakland.
