NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that drainage district boundaries, special assessment amounts and the apportionment of costs of lands within the aforementioned drainage district for maintenance of the aforementioned drain will be available for review on July 18, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during a meeting held by the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office, located at One Public Works Dr, Bldg 95W, Waterford, MI 48328. This special assessment will be for properties located within the following district:
Addison-Dryden Drain – Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10 Addison Township.
Revised boundary has added lands in Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10 of Addison Township.
Revised boundary has removed lands in sections 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 10 of Addsion Township.
These lands include portions of the Village of Leonard.
Therefore, all unknown and non-resident persons, owners and persons interested in the above described lands, and the County Clerk of Oakland County, Board of Oakland County Road Commissioners, the Supervisor of Addison Township, and the President of the Village of Leonard are hereby notified that the time and place aforesaid and at such other time and place to which said day of review may be adjourned, the apportionment for benefits and the land comprised within the aforementioned drain’s special assessment district will be subject to review. Comments on the district boundaries or the apportionment of benefits may be submitted to the Water Resources Commissioner in writing before the date of the day of review at 1 Public Works Dr., Bldg 95W, Waterford, MI 48328 or wrc@oakgov.com, or comments may be submitted in writing or verbally at the day of review. Comments submitted in advance must be received by the Water Resources Commissioner prior to the day of review to ensure consideration.
The owner of any land in the special assessment district or any city, village, township, district or county who may disagree with the apportionment of benefits may appeal the apportionment within ten days after this day of review of apportionments by making an application to the Oakland County Probate Court for appointment of a Board of Review, as provided in Section 155 of the Michigan Drain Code (Act 40 of the Public Acts of Michigan, 1956, as amended).
The County of Oakland will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services.
