Notice is hereby given that the Bruce Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, beginning at 6:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows, at the Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, MI 48065.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on a request for special land use approval submitted by Shane and Era Duda. The applicant proposes constructing a detached accessory building at 69669 Fisher Road (parcel ID 14-01-32-300-010) in the R1 Single Family Residential district. The parcel in question is approximately 10.9 acres. The maximum size of all accessory buildings on a property between 10 and 15 acres is 3,270 square feet. The new building will be 3,200 square feet and will bring the total square footage of accessory buildings to 4,527.5 square feet. This requires special land use approval.
A complete copy of the application for special land use approval may be examined at Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, MI 48065, prior to the public hearing, during the Township’s regular business hours, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM through 4:30 PM. Written comments may be addressed to the Planning Commission at the Township Hall address. Oral comments will be taken during the hearing on June 3, 2026.
