Notice is hereby given that there will be a public hearing before the Richmond Township Zoning Board of Appeals on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at the Richmond Township Hall located at 34900 School Section, Richmond, Michigan 48062 beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The purpose of the Public Hearing is to hear and receive comments relating to the requested variance to the following Richmond Township Zoning Ordinance Section 4.16 Private Ponds. Private ponds other than required stormwater retention or detention purposes, shall be located on a parcel having a principal residence and a minimum land area of at least three (3) acres and shall be located at least fifty (50) feet from any property line.
The applicants are requesting to be allowed to have a pond on 1.74 acres, per the Richmond Township Zoning Ordinance, a minimum land of at least three (3) acres on a parcel is required.
