A regular meeting of the Charter Township of Oakland Board of Trustees was called to order on September 8, 2026, at 7:00 pm in the Township Hall, 4393 Collins Rd., Rochester, MI.
PRESENT: Karen Reilly, Clerk; John Giannangeli, Treasurer; Emily Campbell, Trustee; John Casadei, Trustee; Jack Elder, Trustee; Jeanne Langlois, Trustee
ABSENT: Robin Buxar, Supervisor
THE FOLLOWING MOTIONS WERE MADE AND PASSED:
1. To approve the agenda as amended.
2. To approve the consent agenda, as read.
3. To approve the purchase of five sets of turnout gear and five pairs of boots from Macqueen Equipment, per the attached quotes in the sum of $16,750 and $2,100 for a total purchase of $18,850 from account 206-901-980.342.
4. To approve the agreement with the Road Commission for Oakland County, in the amount of $146,079, regarding the preservation overlay of Gunn Road and authorize the Township Manager to sign it.
5. To set budget workshop dates for Thursday at 3:00 pm on October 1st, October 8th, and October 15.
6. To schedule a public hearing for Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 7:00 pm, for the introduction and 1st reading of the text amendments to the Compatible Renewable Energy Ordinance.
7. To reappoint Mr. William Jandeska to the Zoning Board of Appeals, term to expire September 2028.
8. To reappoint Mr. Robert Hellow to the Zoning Board of Appeals, term to expire September 2029.
9. To approve the agreement with Canon USA for the lease of a new scanner/printer for use by the building department, at a cost of $270 per month for a 63 month period.
10. To approve the addition of the right-to-use policy to the Township’s Significant Accounting Policies, under Section 1 of the notes to financial statements included in the Township’s annual audit, regarding leased assets when the annual lease payments are $5,000 or more.
11. To adjourn at 7:52 pm.
