NOTICE: On Monday, September 21, 2026, the Village of Romeo Board of Trustees voted to adopt Ordinance 576, amending Chapter 46 of the Village of Romeo Zoning Ordinance governing Short-Term Rental Properties in the Village and providing penalties for the violation of the Zoning Ordinance as amended.
Section 46-5 Definitions was amended to include definitions for “Short-Term Rental”, “Owner Occupied Short-Term Rental”, and “Investor-Owned Short-Term Rental.” Article 46 – IV Supplementary Regulations was amended to define Short-Term Rentals as well as identify what is required to apply for and register a Short-Term Rental, Safety and Maintenance standards, Operating Standards, and Enforcement and Revocation procedures.
A true copy of the ordinance is on file at the office of the Village Clerk located at 121 W. Saint Clair, Romeo, MI 48065, and is available for public examination by contacting the clerk at clerk@villageofromeomi.gov.
