Notice is hereby given that there will be a Public Hearing held before the Charter Township of Washington Planning Commission on Thursday, June 9th, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. in the Washington Township Municipal Building Board Room located at 57900 Van Dyke, Washington Township, MI 48094.
The purpose of this Public Hearing is to hear and receive comments related to proposed text amendments and regulations in the Washington Township Zoning Ordinance as follows:
Add definitions to Article 2.0 Definitions, Section 2.2 for Excluded Road, Pathway, Optional Road, Required Road, Sidewalk and Walkway.
Add an Illustration Map for the purpose of displaying the Pathway and Sidewalk Road Designation.
Amend Article 3.0 Zoning Districts, Section 3.16 Residential Open Space Development, I. Pedestrian Circulation.
Amend Article 5.0 Site Standards, Section 5.8 Pathways, Sidewalks and Walkways (required parameters) and add language with requirements for pathway and sidewalk installation along with location and general material requirements.
Amend Article 6.0 Development Procedures, Section 6.1 Site Plan Review Approval, C. Submission Requirements 3.c. Access, parking and circulation (7) and remove (8).

You also can visit the Washington Township Hall and view the information on file with the Planning and Zoning Department. Everyone will be given an opportunity to speak during the Public Hearing.
