PUBLIC NOTICE – VILLAGE OF ARMADA SYNOPSIS OF UNOFFICIAL MINUTES FOR RCM 2/27/23

Pres. Pro Tem Coenen called meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Council members present at roll call: Ballard, Coenen, Clark, Boelke, Sledz. Absent: Shall. Vacancy: President. Also present: Clerk Poulos, Treasurer Porter, Sheryl Theriot, Amy Malmer, Doug Hartline, and Kevin Grand.

COUNCIL ACTION: President Pro Tem Coenen asked for a moment of silence to honor President Wolak who passed away on February 22, 2023. A presentation from SEMCOG was heard explaining the benefits of the Village joining as members. Unanimously approved Agenda as amended: Removed to set a public hearing date/time to consider an Ordinance amending title 1, Chapter 8, Section 8-1 of the Village Code to change the compensation for the Village President and Trustees from New Business. Heard and/or received the Treasurer Report for February, 2023, and the F & V Report for January, 2023 (verbally reviewed by Doug Hartline), a DPW Report for February, 2023, a verbal report from Trustee Boelke; Police Chief Maierle explained New Business Item A which allows him to sell Police property; and the Clerk informed Council that the Village is now officially listed on the National Purple Heart Trail. Unanimously Approved the Consent Agenda as presented: RCM Minutes of 2/13/23 approved as presented; Payment of Bills totaling $487,047.67 as presented. Unanimously Approved: to approve the sale of portable police radios with charging stations and the back seat for the 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe K9 truck, through advertisement and bid solicitation on an on-line auction site and to authorize the Police Chief to accept the highest qualified bids received; to approve the quote from P. Osten Floor Maintenance in a not to exceed amount of $345.00/month to clean the Village Office, Police Department and bathrooms weekly. Unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at 7:50 p.m. A Complete text of minutes is available for public inspection at the Clerk’s office during regular business hours.
