PUBLIC NOTICE – MEETING SUMMARY CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF OAKLAND BOARD OF TRUSTEES REGULAR MEETING MAY 23, 2023

A regular meeting of the Charter Township of Oakland Board of Trustees was called to order on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 7:05 PM in the Township Hall, 4393 Collins Rd, Rochester, MI.

PRESENT: Robin Buxar, Supervisor; Dave Mabry, Clerk; John Giannangeli, Treasurer; Jack Elder, Trustee; Jeanne Langlois, Trustee; Lana Mangiapane, Trustee; Andy Zale, Trustee

ABSENT: None

THE FOLLOWING MOTIONS WERE MADE AND PASSED:

1. To approve the agenda as amended.

2. To approve the Consent Agenda as amended.

3. To approve the Item #3.b, Item #5 and Item #4 as modified.

4. To approve the Resolution No. 23-13 To Adopt the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Project Plan for FY 2024 For Water System Improvements and to appoint Manager Kline as the designated authorized representative and also authorize the Clerk to sign.

5. To approve Resolution No. 23-15 Amended Water Supply Rates and authorize the Clerk to sign.

6. To approve Resolution No. 23-14 Amended Sewage Disposal Rates without debt and authorize the Clerk to sign.

7. To approve Andy’s Exteriors LLC to complete the interior storage room buildout per the quote for the estimated cost of $15,000.

8. To approve a one-year extension, to expire on June 8, 2024, for the Stoney Creek Crossing Preliminary Site Condominium Approval.

9. To grant Special Land Use approval for Birch Grove Academy Phase II – Educational Facility at 2878 N. Rochester Road, subject to the following conditions: 1) That the applicant shall comply with, and satisfactorily address, all items identified by Township consultant firms Carlisle-Wortman Associates, PEA Group and ASTI Environmental. 2) That the applicant complies with the Planning Commission condition that the Phase II building façade mirror that of the Phase I building and, further, screening shall be installed around the DTE electrical cabinet. 3) That the applicant completes the Private Stormwater Agreement and Completion Agreement to the satisfaction of the Township Attorney. 4) That the applicant complies with all applicable site plan and /or building plan review requirements, and agrees to abide by and comply with all pertinent codes, ordinances and standards of Oakland Township, Oakland County and the State of Michigan.

10. To approve Resolution No. 23-11 Authorizing West Nile Virus Fund Expense Reimbursement and authorize the Clerk to sign.

11. To adjourn the meeting at 9:09 PM.
