A regular meeting of the Charter Township of Oakland Board of Trustees was called to order on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 7:00 PM in the Township Hall, 4393 Collins Rd, Rochester, MI.
PRESENT: Robin Buxar, Supervisor; Dave Mabry, Clerk; John Giannangeli, Treasurer; Jack Elder, Trustee; Jeanne Langlois, Trustee; Lana Mangiapane, Trustee; Andy Zale, Trustee
ABSENT: None
THE FOLLOWING MOTIONS WERE MADE AND PASSED:
1. To approve the agenda as presented.
2. To approve the Consent Agenda as amended.
3. To approve budget amendments #23-2 & #23-3 from the Budget Amendment Memo dated 07/05/2023. The net result of these amendments is a $6,000 change to the projected fund balance for the General Fund.
4. To accept the Fiscal Year 2024-2026 OPC Recommended Budget.
5. To approve the repairs on combined quote #2398 from GFRC to repair Fire Station 1 and Township Hall for a total project price of $20,000. This will come from account 206-265-931.00 for Fire Station 1 with $4500 coming from the insurance company and the rest coming from the Building Maintenance account.
6. To approve the same plan from 6 months ago with the addition of (1) Monitor and treatment of swallow-wort, crown vetch teasel, and wild parsnip, and (2) Monitor and treatment of invasive cattails in Clam Lake fen. for July through December 2023 with the same restrictions in place as before for the Fox Nature Preserve Natural Areas Stewardship Field Work Plan.
7. To approve Carter’s Cemetery Preservation proposal for $3,800 for restoration, cleaning, and repair of historic Kline Cemetery to be paid with funds from the HDC capital improvement account 270-901-975.010
8. To adjourn the meeting at 8:25 PM.
