COUNCIL ACTION: Unanimously approved Agenda as presented. Heard and/or received the F & V Report for September, 2023, the DPW Report for October, 2023, and the Planning Commission Meeting Minutes of 9/18/23; a resignation letter from Becky Henderson from the Planning Commission Recording Secretary position; verbal reports from Trustee Boelke, Sewer Commissioner Clark, Street Administrator Sledz, and Planning Commission Liaison Shall. Unanimously Approved the Consent Agenda as presented: RCM Minutes of 10/9/23 approved as presented; Payment of Bills totaling $25,529.08 as presented; to close the Village Office on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. Unanimously approved: to authorize the Village of Armada to extend an offer of employment to Steven Bertossi at the base hourly rate of $20.00 per hour, with overtime, comp time, clothing allowance, workers comp and liability insurance benefits comparable to those provided to current full time DPW employees. Eligible for medical, dental, disability and life insurance after 90 days of employment, personal and sick time, and holiday pay upon successful completion of the probationary period. The offer of is subject to Bertossi passing background and medical examinations and continued employment is contingent upon Bertossi completing a six-month probationary period after which an employment agreement may be offered; to authorize the Village of Armada to extend an offer of employment to Thomas Vilas at the base hourly rate of $19.00 per hour, with overtime, comp time, clothing allowance, workers comp and liability insurance benefits comparable to those provided to current full time DPW employees. Eligible for medical, dental, disability and life insurance after 90 days of employment, personal and sick time, and holiday pay upon successful completion of the probationary period. The offer of is subject to Vilas passing a background examination and continued employment is contingent upon Vilas completing a 90-day probationary period after which an employment agreement may be offered. Vilas is required to obtain a CDL within the 90-day probationary period to continue employment.
