The Michigan Renaissance Festival has returned for its 46th season and it’s boasting record attendance, new attractions and seven themed weekends this year.
Visitors will step back in time as the Michigan Renaissance Festival transforms Hollygrove Village into a bustling 16th-century realm — complete with noble courts, Vikings, pirates and fairies.
The festival features 17 stages with jousting as well as live music, comedy and magicians.
The festival takes place every weekend now through Sept. 28.
It will also be open on Labor Day, Sept. 1, and Festival Friday. Sept. 26.
The hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The festival takes place in Hollygrove Village, 12600 Dixie Highway, Holly.
Organizers said that attendance has grown 9 percent in three years, from 249,000 in 2022 to 269,000 in 2024, drawing visitors from five surrounding states and Canada.
New attractions in 2025 include Wicked Wand Workshop, Ninja Warrior Challenge and Viking Invasion as well as a petting zoo.
Tickets for gate admission are $27.95 for adults $27.95, $18.95 for children ages 5-12 and $25.95 for senior citizens.

The Michigan Renaissance Festival was founded in 1979 and settled in Holly in 1985.
The Michigan Renaissance Festival has grown into a 312-acre immersive village, drawing more than 260,000 visitors annually.
The festival features over 175 artisans, period entertainment and interactive fan experiences.
